Bessacarr A hosted Division 1 league runners up that had the best average pair in the league for the 20/25 season, so it was always going to be a tough game.

Bessacarr took a 2-1 lead early on with good wins by Kris and Ste, and a close 3 ender for Mike and Will. Further wins for Kris and Ste and then another close 3 ender for Mark & Webby ensured Bessacarr were within touching distance for the win at 4-2.

With 3 games remaining it was always going to be a tight match and the teams didn’t disappoint. The last 3 games went to 3 ends, with Kris and Ste losing a tight 3rd end 21-18, and with Mike and Will also losing in the 3rd end it was left to Mark and Webby to secure the victory winning the 5th rubber in an extremely tight game that saw the first end 26-24 and 21-16 in the 3rd end win the match and take the extra points.
